“Movers & Shakers Mixer”

When: Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 6 pm

Where: Twisted Peacock, 3610 SW 13th St.

The Mixer is a networking event designed to give business owners, executives and professionals an opportunity to collaborate, connect and network with each other to create potentially profitable partnerships and business ventures. This is the third in a series of events designed to promote Unity, Diversity and Economic Empowerment for all of Alachua County.

The Mixer will feature live entertainment, drink specials and appetizers will be provided. The atmosphere will be upscale but relaxed and will be hosted by Michael Cox, Executive Director of Black Men United.

It’s called the “Movers & Shakers Mixer”, because it is designed to bring together people who want to make a difference in their careers, businesses and the greater community. The mixer is a way to stimulate interest, excitement and engagement in the potential and future of our wonderful city. We want connections to be made, collaborations to begin and our network to continue to grow.

This event is sponsored by Magic 101.3, The Twisted Peacock, It’s Only Write Communication, Black Men United and the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce.   Due to their generosity, there is no charge for this event and it is open to the public. For more information, please call 352-208-4894.

“Annual Back to School Drive”

You can help by purchasing school supplies and dropping them off to any of our offices. If you would like to be involved but don’t have the time to shop, we have two options set up for you to be able to give. First, you can provide monetary support and we will gladly do the shopping for you. Just $25 buys everything a child will need to successfully start school. Second, you can visit our Amazon Wish List and purchase items that will be shipped directly to our office. For more information and access to our Amazon Wish List, please contact Aldreka Everett, our community relations assistant, at 352-244-1629 or Aldreka.Everett@pfsf.org. All backpacks and supplies are needed by July 21 so we can distribute them in time for the first day of school.
