In 2010, Guardian ad Litem established their agency fund at the Community Foundation. Guardian Foundation recognizes the needs of children in the 8th judicial circuit who are involved in dependency proceedings in court as a result of abuse, neglect, or abandonment. While Guardian ad Litem volunteers are appointed by the court to advocate for the child’s best interests, the foundation provides resources to help normalize the lives of these children by offering them the same opportunities afforded to children outside the system.
