The Board Academy

The Board Academy is a three-hour workshop providing knowledge and skills to current board and staff members, and community members who wish to serve on a nonprofit board. Through an engaging presentation and interactive role-playing, participants learn a board member’s responsibilities and how these responsibilities relate to others within the organization.

The Board Academy workshop topics include: Roles and Rules, Financial Policies and Fiduciary Duties, Legal Considerations, Meeting and Committee Management, Strategic Planning, and Fundraising.
